DARK HUNGER Tops Amazon Manga Ranking!

Filed under: News — clare @ 10:08 pm

We are proud to announce that DARK HUNGER, illustrated by Imaginary’s Zid with the help of our studio’s teammates in support, was the #1 selling Manga title in October on Amazon.com. The ranking reflects recent and historical sales on Amazon.com.

As of this release, the title is currently #3 in the Manga sales ranking, #19 in Contemporary Romance books and #20 in the Graphic Novels category.

DARK HUNGER is a 208 page manga adaptation by Dana Kurtin based on a short story in the New York Times bestselling Carpathian series originally written and created by author, Christine Feehan. The title is also significant as Berkley Books’ first title in its Berkley Manga line.

Malaysian-born Zid is currently based in Singapore where he is a part of the talented team of artists working at Imaginary Friends Studios. Zid’s previous International comics work include covers for Devils Due Comics.

DARK HUNGER represents the second highly successful vampire romance property that Imaginary has been involved with.

Prior to this, Imaginary’s team has been painting the colors for Marvel Comics’ ANITA BLAKE: VAMPIRE HUNTER.

Looking ahead, Zid is already hard at work on his next project, a soon-to-be-announced sci-fi/horror title to be published by Radical Comics.

Stay tuned for more news on that, as well as several other exciting collaborations between the teams from Imaginary and Radical!
